CATHERINE HOPE WELFARE CENTER
Music Class
Children at Catherine Hope Center are now being introduced to the World of Music Read More
At Catherine Hope Center, the children have been learning music for the past few months now. Once a week, a music instructor comes to our Center to teach the children. Currently, we have two keyboards and two guitars. Once tuitions are over each day, the children go to the music room to practice. We are teaching the children music free of cost; it’s extremely gratifying to see them blossom in this field. They are also able to read black notes already! A few of the bright students are now preparing to write their Trinity First Grade exams on the keyboard.
Music helps in the development of the mind and strengthens concentration. It aids in the development of the motor muscles as well as a variety of other cognitive behaviour. That is why we have made it a point to have a music class at our Center for our children. We’ve seen that it also keeps them engaged in good habits and new skills.
