The first anniversary of Catherine Hope Center was celebrated with great enthusiasm as our team took our children on an adventurous excursion on 13th August, 2022. They were all very excited during the entire journey as they were singing songs, performing fun activities, learning, expanding their knowledge, and so much more. They left Ennore in the morning and set out to visit the Birla Planetarium. We had also booked a cosmic show at this planetarium for our children. The kids enjoyed the show as they went on a virtual tour of the night sky and saw some breathtaking celestial occurrences that were replicated. We also took them to a 3D Dinosaur show, which they enjoyed as it was their first time seeing a 3D movie. Through this outdoor activity, they were able to visually experience all they had been learning in school about space and cosmic events. After attending this fun-filled learning session, we took them out for lunch. Then we resumed our journey to explore Guindy National Park. The kids saw the wonderful ecosystem with many different animal species along with tropical dry evergreen trees. There was a play area within the National Park which attracted the junior kids a lot. They saw the whole of Chennai from the strategic point near Guindy National park and also flights landing and taking off which was a thrilling experience. Towards the end of the day, they all visited Lordson (CHF’s double amputee beneficiary) as he shared his life-changing journey with the children. They were all deeply moved, touched and inspired by his story. It was a day to take back home memories that will always remain in their hearts.
