On June 7, 2023, we at CHF were able to distribute school bags and cash for school uniforms to the children of our differently-abled beneficiaries in and around Ennore. Since it was the start of the new academic year, the parents were overjoyed that we could identify their needs and help them on time. This made us happy because, at the end of the day, this was exactly what Catherine desired. We believe that, along with mass-helping the crowd, focusing on one-on-one help is more beneficial. This is what makes CHF different from the others.

For our school bag distribution, we also invited Bharat's mother. Bharat was one of our differently-abled beneficiaries who unfortunately passed away two months ago. We were able to give his daughter a new bag and some cash for uniforms. His mother was in tears as she remembered her dear son. She said that she could now see through and understand our pain, and she commended us for our perseverance.

We also had a beautiful time meeting Shyamkumar from Perambur, who was instrumental in distributing groceries to our differently-abled beneficiaries across Chennai during Covid-19. He helped us identify the differently-abled people who were in much need at that time. To meet him after so many months was truly comforting. He shared old memories of how we met him on the road and spoke lovingly, even though we were strangers. Now he is a valuable member of our CHF family.
