On August 13, 2022, Catherine Hope Center celebrated its first anniversary with an exciting excursion for the children. The day was filled with excitement as they sang, participated in various activities, and engaged in learning experiences.
The group departed from Ennore in the morning, heading to the Birla Planetarium, where we had arranged a cosmic show. The children were captivated by the virtual tour of the night sky and the stunning celestial phenomena on display.
Following the planetarium visit, we took them to a 3D Dinosaur show, which was a new and exciting experience for them. This outdoor activity allowed them to visually connect with their school lessons on space and cosmic events. After the show, we enjoyed a lunch break before continuing our journey to Guindy National Park.
At the park, the children explored a diverse ecosystem featuring various animal species and tropical dry evergreen trees. From a viewpoint near the park, they could see the entire city of Chennai and watch planes landing and taking off, which was an exhilarating experience for them. To conclude the day, the children visited Lordson, a CHF beneficiary who shared his inspiring life journey. His story deeply touched and motivated the children, leaving them with lasting memories from a memorable day.
