In 2022, our Beat the Heat campaign marked our first initiative to support cancer patients residing on the footpaths outside Tata Hospital. As temperatures soared again in Mumbai, we continued this program by distributing watermelons and buttermilk to patients and their families.
During April and May, we had the pleasure of organizing the “Beat the Heat” campaign, designed to provide relief from the sweltering heat. In support of this initiative, we offered fresh, chilled buttermilk to those on the footpaths outside Tata Memorial Hospital.
Through this campaign, we reached approximately 400 people and their relatives, distributing buttermilk and fresh fruits around the hospital. The joy on their faces as they received these refreshments in the summer heat was profoundly fulfilling. Many brought bottles and containers to collect the buttermilk, which filled us with immense satisfaction.
We also visited the local police station to offer refreshments. Joining us was a watermelon vendor who sliced and distributed fresh watermelons and apples. Overall, it was a fulfilling and memorable day.
Our acts of kindness helped individuals cope with the heat and offered much-needed relief, revitalizing their spirits.
