At CHF, we initiated a Women Empowerment Programme after learning from the children at the Center that many of them go to bed hungry and struggle to meet their daily needs due to alcoholic and abusive fathers and other societal challenges. To support these children and their families, we sought to understand each other level of interest and identified the skills that would be easier for them to learn. We decided to focus on training mothers in baking and jewelry making.
We focused on empowering women by providing training in essential skills, enabling them to create their livelihoods. Through simple jewelry making and baking, they have gained the ability to support their families financially. These skills have opened doors to new opportunities and fostered a sense of independence and pride.
“With every step they take, the women in our programme inspire us to believe in the brighter future we’re creating together!”
As we continue this journey, we remain committed to empowering women and nurturing their potential, paving the way for a healthier and more resilient community.
