On December 3, 2021, the Catherine Hope Foundation organized a special programme for children with special needs and their families in honor of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. Twelve children attended our center in Ennore, accompanied by their parents and guardians.
We dedicated meaningful time to discussing their daily lives, including the struggles and challenges they encountered. Hearing the mothers share their experiences was profoundly enlightening. Each time we met these families, we were moved by the interactions and support among the children. When one child was upset, another would come forward to offer comfort—these small acts of kindness provided us with invaluable lessons in compassion and resilience.
We sent everyone home with a month's supply of groceries, creating a heartwarming celebration of 3rd December.
