On June 7, 2023, the Catherine Hope Foundation (CHF) distributed school bags and cash for uniforms to children of differently-abled beneficiaries in and around Ennore. With the new academic year starting, parents were overjoyed by our timely support, which aligned with their needs. This fulfillment brought us immense joy, reflecting Catherine's vision of helping those in need. While broad assistance was crucial, prioritizing one-on-one support truly made a difference, distinguishing CHF from others.
During the event, we honored Bharat, a beloved beneficiary who had passed away two months earlier, by inviting his mother to join us. We provided his daughter with a new bag and cash for uniforms. His mother, filled with emotion, reflected on her loss and expressed gratitude for our perseverance, reminding us of the deep impact we made on families during challenging times.
We also reconnected with Shyamkumar from Perambur, who had been instrumental in distributing groceries to differently-abled beneficiaries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meeting him again after so long felt comforting, and reminiscing about our first encounter on the road warmed our hearts, showing how our bond had grown; he had truly become a cherished member of the CHF family.
